Icons

Under Icons (Configuration) you manage the symbols carried by hosts, tenants, profiles, folders and map nodes. Two ways lead to an icon:

From library

"From library" searches more than 5,000 vendor and product logos and imports them with one click — no hunting for files. Dark variants come along automatically, monochrome logos adapt to the theme, and dark logos stay readable in dark mode without touching brand colours. The library is loaded from the Vesana hub through your own server; imported icons live locally afterwards. When assigning (e.g. to a host) "From library" is the first path — the import binds the icon to the target immediately. Without a connection to the hub the manual upload remains.

Own upload

Upload SVG or PNG, optionally with your own dark variant. The Vesana logo ships with the library (original colours, no automatic tinting).

Assign, replace, remove

• Assign from the host, tenant or profile dialog and via right-click on a folder in the structure column.
• An icon that is already assigned can be replaced directly; if an assignment fails, an error message appears instead of a silent dialog.
• Deleted icons go to the trash and can be restored.

Permissions

icons.view to view, icons.upload, icons.assign and icons.delete for management; instance-wide uploads and editing bundled icons remain reserved for super admins. Operators and viewers see icons; operators may also upload and assign them.
